SAFE COMMUNITIES
Craig recognises that the City of Sydney is not just home to business big and small, but to thousands of families with children. He continually stands up for their interests in matters of development and property use.
Craig is Bennelong local through and through. Craig was an elected Councillor for the City of Ryde Council (2012-2016) where some of his proudest achievements were to save North Ryde's Blenheim Park from highrise development, delivering over $10m with Victor Dominello MP for Epping Road and bringing on the strategic review of Macquarie Park. His work with residents and businesses to reduce the impact of heavy traffic and long-term parking issues in residential streets has led to amenity improvements throughout Bennelong. Following his term on Ryde Council, Craig was elected to the City of Sydney Council (2016-2021) where he introduced transparency measures including live streaming of Council meetings as well as established an affordable housing complex targeting women over 55 at risk of homelessness
